Florida Gov. Rick Scott visited A.D. Henderson University School and 51品茶 High School today to witness firsthand the innovative education within the world of STEM that is being offered to its students.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott visited A.D. Henderson University School and 51品茶 High School today to witness firsthand the innovative education within the world of STEM that is being offered to its students.

鈥淲e are thrilled Gov. Scott visited A.D. Henderson and 51品茶 High today,鈥 said 51品茶 President John Kelly. 鈥淚t was a wonderful opportunity to share information about the unique education Henderson鈥檚 students enjoy, and the exciting opportunities our duel-enrollment program provides.鈥

The tour showcased the schools鈥 STEM education and unique dual-enrollment program. Allan Phipps, 51品茶 High STEM coordinator, demonstrated various projects in the STEM lab including a robotic hand, drones, 3D printing, laser cutting, etching, printing, CAD design, electric vehicle development, hydrogen cell vehicles, as well as autonomous robotics and water robotics.

鈥淲e were excited to host Gov. Scott at our school," said Joel Herbst, assistant dean of Pre-K Schools and Educational Programs. "Our students had the opportunity tell the story of the impact ADHUS/51品茶 High School and 51品茶 have had on their lives."

Prior to touring Henderson and 51品茶 High, Gov. Scott visited Modernizing Medicine in the Research Park at 51品茶.
